The Business Proposal Scorecard
People who received business proposal have widely varying agendas, and they actually review and score proposals based on their particular circumstances and needs. This is different from business plan where reader readers have a more or less standard scorecard for judging the viability of the plan.
For business proposals the client will evaluate proposal differently, and it is difficult to accurately predict how the client will score your proposal. But its helpful to have your own scorecard to make sure that you've included all the key points that sells proposals. As in the case of business plan, a successful proposal depends on having the right phrase for all the key points to sway the client over. Often clients will only remember three to four phrases from the proposal, so you want those phrases to present you and your proposal in the best possible light.
